I've noticed that more and more forum participants are going with either disabled profiles or very little information on the profile.
So I have (at least termporarily) joined with this approach and disabled my profile.
So what gives?

I would add that a whole bunch of regulars have either disappeared or discovered other work that needs to be done, which has reduced the frequency of their postings.
I miss those people.
I have been posting for about 18 months, and the only splashback has been the occasional disagreement that got a bit personal. All comfined to the forum postings.
Am I more than a bit niave in my trust of folks?

And, as some of us remember, when this thing was wide open, there were many who established multiple accounts for purposes of subterfuge and trickery, if not fraudulent interraction. That sort of crap led to a sense of distrust and discomfort for lots of participants. And then there are the lawyers whom we've discovered, some pretending to not be, but drilling down into their profile info outed them.
I reached 9999 posts with my original signon and just didn't want to clock 10,000 so I changed my signon. But, I'm still my same gentle, introverted self, right?
Have we talked yet about those moody people who click their profile and mailbox off and on depending on the mood de jour?

It costs my company almost $300 for my susbscription and with that comes the ability to use the Forum. I cannot imagine that there is someone lurking out there waiting for the chance to "get me".
Being in HR, there are times when I need to be cynical or wary when dealing with a personnel issue. My thinking...the Forum was designed for professional people to communicate and assist with HR problems and questions. Aren't there enough hassles in the world of work without inventing more?
Maybe I am the naive one here, but I hope not.
