I watched two guys on tv a few nights ago go to great lengths to Noodle. I still can't figure out why. No money was exchanged, they did not get paid for their efforts and yet they considered it their job. It makes me glad I work in HR!.

Just give me a line and a pole any day over this method....
Sure had some great fried catfish, with hush-puppies and home made tar-tar sauce after his trips.
I can't help but wonder what I will be doing with my grandkids that they will remember and report to others as being something really special and/or weird long after I am gone.....
It certainly won't be noodleing or snapping the heads off snakes by popping them like a whip.

I reckon this is 'noodling' but I would certainly not watch it on Television, whether underwater or on land.
Noodling is the second most popular pastime in California and parts of Vermont. x:-)
Most of the time you walk and pull your boat along with a rope or by hand. Some of my friends have gashes that have scarred up and down their arms. One lost two fingers. Not at all uncommon to feel something soft and slick with your hand and not have a clue what it is. You're underwater and can't see an inch and you grip it and come to the top with it and haul it over the side of the boat. Usually it's a 10-50 pound catfish, or at least you hope it is.
