I had spent the weekend at my cabin 'up north' and was in the process of grilling some steaks for dinner when I looked up into the sky at an amazing display. The whole northern sky was filled with dancing lights, wavy lights, colored lights, etc. (No, I wasn't drinking.) As I understand it, it was visible from dusk until midnight. If you've never seen it, there's a chance it will reappear tonight, so don't miss it if you're in these northern latitudes and the sky is clear.
I was in a perfect location for viewing; clear view of the sky, very little ambient light, etc, but it was even visible from the Milwaukee area.
Enjoy, if you have a chance.
