Beave started a great thread that was destroyed by a series of power outages. We can't restore the thread as it originally was, but I managed to recover a lot of the text. Here's the original message:

I already knew 5, 18, 26, and 35. I'm so much wiser now. But I don't believe the thing about the apple.

I, too, have heard about celery's "negative calories". I've also heard that there are no calories in broken cookies--they all leak out. Works for me!

Some of these are Great! I'm not sure I'm believe Susan Lucci is Diller's daughter or that a duck's quack would not echo. Sure it would. But who ever took a duck to the edge of the Grand Canyon? I believe that Ray was given to the right mother, only that she immediately dropped him and the hospital made her take him home anyway.

Great. Now, all day I will be trying to think of words that rhyme with orange, purple, and silver just to see if I can. Where did you get this list? Was it a "forward"?

These are fun. Having been an AMC addict in my college days, I do know that Susan Lucci is not Phyllis Dillers daughter. Do you ever wonder who comes up with this stuff?

I seem to have heard of the Lucci to Diller connection years ago but have no idea of its truth. This was sent to me is all I know. I gotta get me a duck & take a trip. I have heard of that one quite a few times though.

You need to be in our market--Blockbuster stopped charging late fees. Don't know if it will last, but it's keeping my husband out of hot water for the time being.

Ok, apparently the Susan Lucci and Phyllis Diller connection is actually FALSE. Here is a link: http://www.snopes.com/movies/actors/lucci.htm
Now, does that mean the rest are in question? I need to know soon!!
The quicksand is rising even as I type...

Thanks for the info Paul. Wait'll I send that one back to the "friend" that sent it to me. Now, lay on yer back Ray, lay on yer back. The quick sand is raising quickly. Just don't look to me for the belly scratching. My new Jack Russell Terrier pup (8 weeks old) has ALREADY got me trained to scratch hers - don't think I am that trainable that I'll scratch yours - besides, you have the WRONG physical features for me.

Beave: My wife told me last night that Wally is 58 and Lumpy just turned 62. Can this be so? Years ago, a rumor was dispelled that Eddie Haskell was really John Holmes. They sorta looked alike (in the face). Eddie is actually a cop in L.A.
On the show "mythbusters", they dispelled the "quacks don't echo" myth. Duck quacks do, in fact, echo, however quacks echo at such a low level compared to regular echos that they barely register.
All our employees have to be fingerprinted on hire. Thank goodnes we don't have to tongueprint them.
Quack quack.
