NEW HOME

This is such great news I had to share! We have been living in a tiny, cramped apartment in a remote area. Two adults, part-time custody of an 11 year old boy (full time in the summer,every other weekend for all other seasons), a cat and a fish tank that was previously occupied by two fish that decided to get frisky and introduce us to 7 new little fishies.
We made an appointment with a broker on tuesday, and the very first apt we saw we fell in love with. The kitchen alone is half the size of our apartment! We have been living without a tub for three years, this place has a jacuzzi tub!!!! And (rad you might get this) Off street parking in Somerville!!!
We did see some other ones but that one was the one wanted.
Move in day is May 15.

Parking in Boston and the Boston area is a nightmare. The streets are narrow to begin with and when you're in an area with multi-family omes, one can drive around for hours looking for a parking spot. Areas close to public transportation have parking restrictions whereby only residents can park withing the area but its still a challange. So off street parking is such an amazing score! FHR could probably rent out that spot for a decent amount if she didn't have a car herself. The phrase off street parking is music to any Bostonians ears.

I do not have a car, nor do I even drive. Where I can't walk, I take the T or a cab.

Rad, you are not going to believe this, but we actually have two off street parking places and only one vehicle. And yes, we are going to rent out the other spot for a pretty penny!$$$

Allright! I swore I'd never move again after preparing for my last move 2 years ago but that time I bit the bullet and hired movers. Wow - what a big difference in the stress level. I moved to the North End - if you're familiar you can imagine the horror of trying to move in there-but they were so great, so efficient, so polite and curteous. I had to pay extra for mileage because they are out of Lowell but I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Someone once told me that moving was more stressful then getting married and I believe it. Just remember, the boxes will eventually be unpacked and thrown out (recycled)and you will unearth the coffee pot. Enjoy your new place. x:-)

Enjoy every moment. I moved about 1 1/2 years ago from a 450 sq ft apartment to a 1350 sq ft house. I love the roominess. My fiancee and I were always tripping over each other. Now we have more room and now share it with a dog.
