Withdrawal Survey

For those of us who had withdrawal symptoms the last two days while the Forum was napping, here's a question. When you finally got back on, which subject area was the first one you went to and why.

My answer: I went immediately to the general employment and labor law area but I'm not sure why. I knew I could always get to the comedy side later, but wanted to see some serious stuff first. Then I went to FMLA, then Paul's story.

I went to "How to Use the Forum" to see if there was an explanation. Then the humor section. And lastly I did check out employment law section.

I did the same as Ray also. I needed answers right away! It was driving me nuts yesterday. After I found out what happened I went to the General Employment section then to check on Paul's "story"- I use the term loosely.

A survey question for another day might be; Why do so many people read a question and not respond? Especially a simple survey. It's like going to the polling place and walking away.

I was attending a seminar for two days this week. Missed the whole thing. But, I would have gone to General Forum. Then HR de har. My daughter and son-in-law think that is the funniest name for a forum.

General employment and labor law was it for me, then Har-de-har-har. Although, please don't take offense folks, I've been skipping the "story" as it is becoming harder to keep track of the storyline. I do however enjoy the thread where you post your comments to the "story" - that is very fun!

There was a problem? Any time I went in, I was able to get in. Maybe I've been too busy with work to notice? Anyway, this morning I went to the HR de Har Har section and looked up Passions and Survivor.

I missed the whole thing. Seems like the few times I posted this week were just before and just after whatever happened.

My normal course, however, it to click on the "Read New" button and move through the titles that address areas that fall into one of three categories:

1. Areas I am currently experiencing or studying,
2. Areas that look interesting, and
3. Areas I might have some pertinent knowlege regarding.

Since the result of the "Read New" click start with the Employment Law section, that is also my starting point.

I do peruse a lot of general titles just because I am curious by nature, but there are quite a few topics that currently have little application to our little agency.

I went to HR & Employment Law first, I usually do. Then I headed right over here to HR de har har to get my laugh for the day. Next I'll probably head to FMLA then to Wage and Hour. The first two are pretty standard, but I'll change up where I go next depending on what issues I'm currently dealing with.

My normal routine is Employment Law, Wage & Hour, then Har de har har. I do a "quick scan" of the others.

I repeat that normal routine in the morning and before leaving.

Beagle, I never rag on you. I just allow you to wax eloquent about your Pacer telling how wonderful a car it was and how it was far superior to any 60's Mustang that Q may have owned.
