Need Catbert Evil HR Director

With all the busy, serious HR stuff we all do this may not seem as important as a workers comp hearing but can anyone tell me where I can find a stuffed version of Catbert the Evil HR Director from the Dilbert strip?

It would mean a great deal to me...

I have one that I ordered from a catalogue years ago. He's almost 10" tall sitting down. I don't remember what catalogue and have never seen one since. However, I checked the tag on him and it was made by the Commonwealth Toy & Novelty Co., Inc. out of New York, New York and Bunde, Holland. It also has Reg. No. PA 48 on it if that will help you. I hope you can search the internet and find this company. Let me know if you do find it, I'd like to order a few for my clients. Good luck!

SHRM used to sell a nice stuffed Catbert made by Gund, but for some reason, Gund quit making this character. I have not seen this little guy since last June at the National SHRM meeting.

I too bought the Catbert Gund beanbag character about 5 years ago. My assistant at the time made a sign to hang around his neck that says "Catbert, Evil HR Director". He still sits on my computer and gives me a chuckle now and then. In this business, we need to use whatever we can to make us laugh. I have attempted to find another on the web, but have had no luck. Sorry.

Thanks everyone for your help. I realized after I posted my request that I probably could have done an internet search myself and found one.

I once toyed with the idea of bringing the stuffed Catbert with me whenever I had to have one of those awkward disciplinary discussions when the offense level is pretty minor but you still have to deal with it. I thought that might keep things light and in perspective.

Thats probably not a good idea though...

What I did was have a battery operated owl sitting on my file cabinet. I always had employees that needed to vent, defend themselves or just ramble. When the situation got too tense, I would slowly make my way to the file cabinet and turn the owl on. The owl went into this dance routine with a lot of hoots and howls. The employee stopped whatever he/she was doing and stared. Defused the problem ASAP. x:P

**smile** I do the same thing with a Jibber Jabber. Found it at Wal-Mart several years ago. It has a long neck that you can grab hold and shake, causing all kinds of gagging, jabbering sounds. Folks come to my office on frustrating days so they can strangle the daylights out of it! Breaks the tension and makes them start laughing...

I couldn't find a link for plush toys at the official site (except for a reference to a Japanese company that makes Dilbert character toys that alert you when you have e-mail, hee).

and if you did not buy your Catbert from here previously, they have a new one and it's up to $30.00....along with all the other Dilbert characters.
