We have employees who fill in for supervisors at a supervisor's rate. On the days that the employees act as a supervisor, can they be paid a salary for that day instead of an hourly rate and, if so, how is the overtime calculated?

Are there any legal issues in changing hours and wages from a night shift and/or a regular shift, both of 8 hours, to 4 days worked with 10 hour days?
