Flu Vaccine

Just curious if anyone else is having problems gaining access to enough flu vaccine this year? Here in Central Missouri our health departments are receiving the vaccine just not in the quantity they ordered. For example if they ordered 2,000 vaccines, they are receiving their supply in shipments of 200 at a time. The day before they were to come to our facility to supply the vaccine I received a call saying they were not sure they had enough vaccine on hand for everyone that signed up. Luckily due to a few of no-shows they had just enough. We are still awaiting notification as to when they will have enough on hand for our remaining employees to go to their clinics for their vaccination.

We have not had a problem with locating the vaccine. Our occ. health clinic administered the immunization on November 14 to 74 employees. Company paid the cost of the injection-$20 per employee.

Same as Irie. Our local clinic administered over 100 shots at $20 each in October to employees at our three locations. They indicated there was no supply problem in GA.

We had no trouble, either. We had our flu shots on Oct 27th @ $22 per shot.

No problem here. We also had our occ health care administer the shots on November 2. 52 shot at $30 (Fairfield County Connecticut) - Company paid entire cost.

We had our shots delayed because the clinic that does them for us did not receive their supply. We too got a call just the day before the shots were scheduled. They remained without them for about a month and then got them in. As it was explained to me, there is more of a distribution problem than any shortage.

We received a call from our County Health Dept. yesterday that they are out and do not expect to receive anymore. This may just be a problem with our local county officals not ordering enough.
