I'm a business lawyer for a manufacturing company covering for my employment and benefits lawyer who's on leave. My HR department wants to distribute our SPDs electronically. Are a lot of companies doing this and has anyone been challenged about satisfying the safe harbor of the regulation concerning electronic distribution?

I'm a benefits administrator and we e-mail as well as post it on our intranet site and we have not been faced with security challenges. We also have hard copies of it given to the departments of employees that do not have desktops (facilities).
