FMLA and Pregnancy

We have many employees who are pregnant and who are requesting FMLA. They are not taking additional time off above and beyond our company's maternity leave policy and they are not taking any time off prior to the birth of their child. Should we still be applying this time off toward their 12 weeks of FML? Any advice or past experiences would be helpful

Do you have a policy that says the FMLA leave will run concurrently with any paid leave, including maternity leave? That is the best place to start.
