Termination in Louisiana

Is there any paperwork you need to give an employee when you fire them in Louisiana (i.e. a pink slip of some sort)?

If so, what must be in it and where can I find a form.

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 03-15-06 AT 10:03AM (CST)[/font][br][br]The Louisiana DOL website has a form (LDOL 77 & 87) that must be submitted to the state via website & provided to the employee within 72 hours of termination. You must have a Louisiana Employer Account Number for this form to apply.

Final pay can be made on regular pay date / cycle or 15 days from termination date, whichever is sooner.
