I can sypathize with you completely! I worked in a hospital HR office for almost 15 years and encountered similar situations. I finally quit too, 2 years ago. I discovered that it wasn't HR that I was tired of; I was tired of the hospital corporations that I allowed to run my life. I am now the VP of Human Resources for a small partnership manufacturing firm and absolutely love it! I not only have the responsibility but the authority to make a difference and that's what it should be about. Good luck and know that there are others out there who have been where you are.
