Does anyone know what the 9 catagories for the EEOC are? Maybe even somewhere on the internet that I could find them.
Thanks so much!

Have a Great Day!!
* Title VII- which prohibits sex, race, religion, national origin and color discrimination.
* The Age (ADEA)Discrimination in Employment-protects persons 40 and older(like me).
* The Equal Pay Act (EPA)- prohibits sex based wage discrimination.
*The Americans with Disability Act (ADA)- prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities.
* The USERRA - which protects the civilian/service person.
If you add the different categories there are 9, but the EEOC sill most likely will not be the department to investigate the USERRA allegations. The VET section of DOL will investigate these discrimation events.
I hope this helps: I attended and recommend highly, that you or someone in your staff attend the EEOC Technical Assistance Seminars put on by the EEOC regional offices around the country. The EEOC does have employer friendly employees before the fact of investigation. Once the investigation is underway immediately after the complaint, they tend to lean toward the ee. Hope this helps, Pork
