How long does a local government have to keep job applications (non-hirees)?

In ND - the minimum length of time to keep applications is 1 year from the date of application. Even unsolicited applications!

Federal Record Retention Guidelines state: Job Applications, period of retention is 1 year (includes seasonal and temporary workers). Applicable law s 29 CFR 1627.3(b)(1)(i) ADEA.
