If a company or institution is closing their doors because of fraud. Do they have to pay their employees all their vacation time? The institution is paying for their time work until this point but refuse to pay the vacation time. The company is in Chicago.

My understanding is that the state of Illinois requires the payout of accrued but unused vacation time.

You may want to call the state workforce or employment comission, as they could probably give you good factually specific answer. Or you could try checking on the state's official website to see if they have a link and any general info about where to make a claim.
