Can anyone recommend a book or video providing information on analyzing or interpreting body language? We want to use at as a communication tool for our supervisors and managers.
there is a book---i forget who wrote it---called "never be lied to again"...it deals,in part, with this issue...regards from texas, mike maslanka...ps.just check on amazon or a similar service and it should pop up
The books may be fine, but they may be written with the US culture in mind. Some body languages may be universal but others are cultural. Eye contact, for example, is one that we expect. In other cultures, a lack of eye contact shows deference, an expectation in certain circumstances. We are becoming a diverse nation and diversity in body language comes with it.
The book "Signals: How to use body language for power, success, and love" by Allan Pease is a really good one. I use this book in supervisor and interviewing training. It has great illustrations.
