I need a quick response if you can please - what is your company's policy regarding jury pay to employees who are paid their while serving on a jury - do you require they turn over their jury pay to the company? thanks for a quick mini-survey.

We pay employees for jury duty for up to four weeks at their regular hourly rate. They then are required to turn over their court-paid fees to the hospital.

We allow the employee to keep the fees to cover the cost of lunch, parking, etc. It's so minimal, it's not worth the effort to collect and doesn't make the employer seem like a money monger.

I'm in County government. We pay our people for jury duty and let them keep what they earn as jurors. The amount is so small it isn't worth going after. Besides, it's sort of a reward for good citizenship.

We decided to save ourselves a little money by finding out what daily stipend the courts paid for jury duty. We deduct this amount from their regular paycheck. We save on FICA taxes and they keep their jury duty check.
